Walker Gwynne Society Enrollment Form

You may become a member of The Walker Gwynne Society by including Calvary in your estate plans or by making an endowment gift during your lifetime. Your gift, regardless of size or type, helps to build a sustaining legacy for Calvary.

Planned giving can:
+ Strengthen our outreach ministries.
+ Support infrastructure.
+ Secure the parish’s financial future.
+ Endow your annual pledge, continuing your tradition of giving.
+ Help ensure Calvary’s ongoing work, honoring how it has supported and nourished you throughout your life.

How will my gift make a difference?
Your gift will directly strengthen the ministry of Calvary Church. Whether expanding programming or supporting the church through economic challenges, your legacy will inspire both current and future parishioners. Thanks to your generosity, they will be able to continue the mission and ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Reverend Walker Gwynne served as Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church for over 20 years, from 1893 to 1914. During a pivotal time in our history, he came to Summit to lead the congregation while the Parish House and Church were being built. Not only did he oversee the construction, which was completed in 1896, but he also ensured that the mortgage was fully paid by the parish's 50th anniversary in 1904. The legacy of Reverend Gwynne — both in the solid foundation he built and the vision he set — is the heritage we continue to honor at Calvary.

Driven by the Holy Spirit, we are all called to follow and lead a life of generosity, compassion, and love for our neighbors. Please prayerfully consider how your planned gift can impact future generations of Calvary parishioners and our community. We encourage you to speak with one of our clergy, who can help you identify the most meaningful way to direct your gift. We also recommend consulting with your financial advisor for guidance on managing your contribution. Your generosity will be received with gratitude and used to glorify God, benefiting the entire congregation.
